#TLD-1 International kindergarten Homeroom Teacher

China,,Wuhan

Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students in a bilingual learning environment, ensuring a high standard of education and a fun, engaging classroom atmosphere.

What kind of kindergarten are we, exactly? It's a kindergarten that always prioritizes stimulating children's imagination, creativity, and artistic perception.

Reggio Emilia Project-Based Learning

Cultivating Children Who Can Solve Problems Independently

As we initially envisioned, our kindergarten adopts the Reggio Emilia teaching model. Art is a prominent feature of Reggio Emilia teaching, which places high demands on the creation of the kindergarten environment. Guanghe Kindergarten has established a material-rich "Can Do Art Workshop," encouraging children to create their own works using their preferred languages and expressions. For young children who have not yet acquired formal writing and reading skills, using visuals and images to express their exploration or understanding of the world is the most direct way. The environment and teachers can support children's diverse expressions and help them find their own unique ways.

The kindergarten adopts the educational philosophy of "Project-Based Learning," and the CAN DO Art Workshop is specifically prepared for this purpose. Perhaps the biggest difference between other kindergartens is that children here begin learning to "solve problems independently" from as early as two years old.

In project-based courses, children first observe, touch, engage with, and play with objects to gradually understand them from their perspective. They then proceed to explore, try out, and experience. Throughout this process, we emphasize the cultivation of children's interest, methods, and habits of thinking. Through learning and gameplay experiences, children develop thinking tools that they can apply, transfer, and extend, which are the most valuable assets that will accompany them throughout their lives.

"Outdoor Research and Study Lessons" is also one of our teaching features. Starting with the water pipes in the Guanghe (Photosynthesis) courtyard, we explore where water comes from. To let children experience the flow of water, teachers create a classroom scenario where they "assemble water channels" in the sandpit, combining education with entertainment.

Creating Diverse and Enriched Spaces

Cultivating Children with Outstanding Comprehensive Qualities

In the kindergarten, children's learning and living spaces are extremely diverse: the "Forest Picture Book Library" cultivates focus and expressive abilities for young children in the reading-sensitive period; the "Doll House" fosters social norms, communication, and collaboration for those in the imitation-sensitive period; the "Food Education Classroom" uses games to develop children's self-care abilities; the "Music and Movement Classroom" integrates games into the cultivation of basic motor skills; and the "Cozy Classroom," designed like a three-bedroom, one-living room apartment, is where children learn to love and share. Additionally, there are outdoor spaces such as the rooftop playground, natural treehouse, and CAN DO Art Workshop, where children can climb and explore to their hearts' content.

Here, children learn about food, use tools, and engage in cooking. In the future, they will also plant seeds in the vegetable garden downstairs and use the ingredients they have grown themselves to prepare dishes.
